Key Fed inflation gauge rose 0.3% in February, less than expected

An inflation gauge the Federal Reserve follows carefully rose barely lower than anticipated in February, offering some hope that rate of interest hikes are serving to ease worth will increase.

The private consumption expenditures worth index excluding meals and vitality elevated 0.3% for the month, the Commerce Department reported Friday. That was under the 0.4% Dow Jones estimate and decrease than the January improve.
