Ford is telling select Bronco owners not to drive their vehicles

Bronco SUVs, together with some already in clients’ fingers and a few ready to be delivered.

The recall pertains to 2023 Bronco Wildtrak and 2022 Bronco Raptor fashions, and the issue includes a steering-gear half which may be cracked and will have an effect on a driver’s capability to show the steering wheel, based on a report filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The report mentioned there “have been no reports of accident or injury associated with this concern.” A complete of 343 autos are affected by the recall, the report mentioned.

In an announcement supplied to MarketWatch, Ford mentioned: “On March 3rd, we proactively reached out to 58 affected customers, informing them not to drive their vehicles, and provided them with the option of a loan vehicle. Another ~280 [vehicles] are at dealerships or are held at our plant and will be repaired before they are in customer hands.” 

Ford added that a lot of the 58 affected clients “are now in loaner vehicles and are having their vehicle fixed as we speak.”

The Ford Bronco sequence stays vastly standard. Ford delivered 97,315 Bronco SUVs to clients in 2022, based on a Fox News report, which famous that the quantity bought “could have been higher if not for production constraints.”
