The Disney+ live-action adaptation of Lilo and Stitch has discovered its little human star.
The Hollywood Reporter, following a report in Knight Edge Media, writes that younger Hawaiian actress Maia Kealoha has landed the position of Lilo Pelekai. The casting comes after an intensive open name as Disney looked for the remake’s main position of a lady who adopts a fugitive alien after mistaking it for a canine.
The animated model got here out in 2002 from administrators Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois; the live-action remake can be helmed by Marcel the Shell With Shoes On director Dean Fleischer Camp, with a script by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright. The movie lately added actor Zach Galifianakis to the solid in an unknown position (although we hope he’ll be enjoying Pleakley); we’re nonetheless ready to see who’ll play the story’s different large position: Lilo’s older sister, Nani.
Lilo and Stitch can be launched straight to Disney+, thought we hope it does get some love on the large display screen. So far there’s no phrase on when to anticipate it.
